Bricks and Brass brings new life to the former Mays-Munroe appliance store location on one of Tallahassee’s busiest thoroughfares after it had sat empty for years. The rehabilitation of the building included removing years of layered paint, exposing brick and concrete dating back to the 1940’s.
Bricks and Brass features a large, open event space characterized by the exposed wood ceiling joists that were charred from a fire several decades ago. The use of the aged wood paired with modern lighting elements creates a modern and industrial feel. The building houses a ballroom for events and a patio space out back for fair weather gatherings.
