The Elm Court Home needed an exterior renovation, specifically to address the outdated trim elements and a deteriorating wrap-around balcony. The project included a complete reconstruction of the porch, deck elements, building siding, exterior elements, as well as a reconfiguration of the north stair tower to redefine the entrance and circulation sequence.
The Elm Court residence was revived by selectively removing certain porch areas to highlight the new bracket elements incorporated by the new deck spaces for the rooms and living spaces. All new siding and a more logical stair circulation route give the home a fresh contemporary feel that the owner was looking for, while keeping the spirit of the original beach home.
