Serving as the anchor tenant for the new SoMo Walls development, The Monroe provides Tallahassee a new destination for upscale American cuisine and a spot for unique spirits and drinks thanks to the on-site distillery. Patrons are greeted by a generous seating area that is complemented by a backdrop of dark wood and earth-toned furniture. The 16,000 square foot space includes an expansive bar that opens up to the large covered outdoor seating area ready for events of any size. While patrons dine on the carefully curated menu items, they can sip on drinks sourced from the on-site distillery which offers a variety of locally-produced spirits.
The restaurant has been part of the award-winning SoMo Walls development, which includes the 2022 AIA Tallahassee Merit Award for the Unbuilt category as well as the 2024 ULI North Florida Award of Excellence for Projects Under $20 Million. The development was also featured in the Florida/Caribbean Architect Magazine in 2022.
